Daniela Andreeva

Originally from Yambol, Bulgaria, Daniela Andreeva holds numerous degrees and diplomas, including a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from UQAM, a Master’s degree in Immunology from Université de Montréal, and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Among the major issues that interest her are the Public Health Act, the development of natural resources, censorship and conflicts of interest in universities.

“Science should not be politicised. I have studied and worked in this field all my life. The pandemic played an important role in my decision to join the CPQ. It hurt me to see how some scientists, funded by pharmaceutical companies and with obvious conflicts of interest, tried to “bleach” the science. During this dark period in Quebec’s history, the only politician who dared to speak out and ask pertinent questions openly was Éric Duhaime. I recognised a leader capable of uniting rather than dividing, and so I decided to get involved.”
