Dominick Melnitzky has lived in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu for 33 years. He is the father of two children and has worked as a mechanical technician specializing in electrical and electronic systems for GM vehicles for 17 years.
His interest in provincial politics has grown over the past two years as his family, like so many thousands of Quebec families, has been affected by the Legault government’s health measures:
“I understand that the [COVID] situation took everyone by surprise, and that the government in place had to take certain measures quickly to ensure maximum safety for everyone. However, as time went on, some of the decisions and measures imposed led me to question myself and to take an interest in the possible long-term impacts. As a father, I want the best for my children. I want them to grow up in prosperity and freedom in the province I love. I have looked at the different political platforms, and the Conservative Party's is the one that fits my way of seeing things and reflects the values that I hold dear.”
