A teacher by training, since 2012 Luce Daneau has been a special education consultant in the private sector.
Formerly a candidate for Québec Solidaire in the 2007 and 2008 elections, she joined the ranks of the Conservative Party of Quebec to get involved in improving the current state of the Quebec education system, an issue that is particularly close to her heart:
“Our education system is in total disarray. Everyone involved is suffering: the students, the parents, the teachers, the non-teaching staff, and even school administrators. I had the opportunity to be part of the Conservative Party of Quebec’s education advisory committee. Our first proposals were all adopted at the provincial convention last November. A Conservative government in Quebec will take concrete action to improve school services and I will be proud to promote it.”
