Marc Carrière is a social science graduate of the Université du Québec en Outaouais. From 2007 to 2021, he held political positions in his community, as Chairman of the Executive Committee of Commission scolaire au Cœur-des-Vallées, and as a municipal councillor for Masson-Angers.
From 1987 to 2007, he was a member of the parents and transportation committee of the CSCV for Sacré-Coeur school in Masson-Angers. He was also a founding member and president of the Association du parc Gérard-Marchand and a member of the organizing committee for the Fête des voisins.
"I've been serious about my political activities all my life. I have never feared the opposition as a neighborhood association president, sports association president, school commissioner, or as a city councilor. This is a great challenge for me, in the continuity of my political life. I live in the riding, I know my community's needs – my family, neighbors and friends."
