Pascal Laurin, a special education teacher for 25 years, was born and raised in the Saint-Pierre neighborhood of Joliette.
In 1997, he successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in special education followed by a Certificate in maladjusted behaviour in children at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He has dedicated his life to helping children and youth with behavioural, substance abuse or mental health problems, whether in school or in youth centers.
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been proud to be a Quebecer. Until recently, that is. The Legault government’s handling of the pandemic disgusted me. Our fundamental freedoms and our democracy have both been undermined. I want us to live in a system in which everyone has a place, and in which citizens are trusted. I have chosen to join the Conservative Party of Quebec to give Quebecers back their freedom and their control over their own lives, but above all to give them back their pride.”
