Philippe Meloni has been an entrepreneur for over 30 years and works in the field of IT, specializing in ICT management and business strategy.
A self-described autodidact, he has a fundamental belief in the initiative and ingenuity of citizens in finding solutions to the many challenges they face. The Conservative Party of Quebec has emerged as the best vehicle for the changes he would like to see implemented, particularly in the areas of entrepreneurship and taxation.
“In committing myself to the riding of Bertrand, I want to speak up for small and medium-sized businesses and startups, which I believe are the real creators of wealth and jobs in Quebec. We must reduce and simplify regulation in order to make life easier for citizens who want to start a business. We must put an end to the government micro-managing and regulating absolutely everything. Solutions and innovative ideas don’t come from the government, they come from the people. That's why I see my role as the person who will listen both to the issues raised by the people of my riding, and to the solutions they propose.”
