Pierre-David Tremblay

Originally from La Tuque, Pierre-David Tremblay began his career in Montreal as a provincial correctional services officer. He became a police officer with the SPVM in 1987.

By his retirement in 2013, he had worked as a patrol officer, investigator, and detective-sergeant. Mr. Tremblay was actively involved in the Montreal Police Brotherhood in many capacities, including as executive vice-president for 13 years. He served as a city councillor and then as mayor of La Bostonnais from 2015 to 2017 before becoming mayor of La Tuque from 2017 to 2021.

“We are living in a time with no shortage of major issues, whether we consider the problems of the Route 155 bridge or the drinking water in Shawinigan, the creation of wealth through the development of our natural resources, or the decentralization that would finally free us to manage our services in ways that fit the real needs of our community. Yes, there are many issues at stake, but I am confident that with the CPQ, together, we will finally be able to move things in the right direction, for the benefit of everyone.”
